A delegation including Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State; Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC); and Major General Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai, received a humanitarian aid ship at Al Arish Port for Gaza. Dr. Al Shamsi and the delegation visited the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, a part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, offering medical care to Palestinians from Gaza. The visit included a tour of hospital departments, learning about patient services, and checking on the well-being of individuals.

The aid ship had set sail from Al Hamriyah Port in Dubai on January 20th under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, aimed at meeting urgent needs in Gaza. This shipment, the largest under this operation, carried 5,800 tonnes of humanitarian supplies such as food, shelter materials, and medical essentials. The timely arrival of the ship, ahead of Ramadan, ensures emergency relief reaches Gaza during the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The aid efforts were made possible by contributions from various organizations, including ERC, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Dar Al Ber Society, and Sharjah Charity International. This mission, aligning with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3's expanded phase, aims at addressing the pressing needs of Palestinians in Gaza, providing continuous relief and support during challenging times.

Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, known as Mother of the Nation, sent a humanitarian gift via the sixth UAE aid ship arriving at Al Arish Port today. The aid, intended for the Palestinian people, emphasizes the UAE's commitment to supporting those in need.
